Text indicating a Bhakti Yoga adventure event in Croatia from August 22 to August 30, 2026.

If you’re ready to deepen your understanding of yoga beyond asana — to explore its roots through devotion, sound, and connection — and to experience Croatia in an authentic, heart-opening way, this journey is for you.

For the second year in a row, we’re thrilled to offer this retreat once again. After receiving heartfelt feedback from last year’s group — about the magic, connection, and transformation they experienced — we welcome you to join us for another unforgettable adventure.

Two breathtaking Croatian landscapes.
One journey of the heart.

Join us for the Bhakti Yoga Adventure — a soulful blend of devotion, movement, and exploration. From the sparkling Adriatic coast to hidden inland gems, you’ll dive deep into yoga, kirtan, and cultural discovery. Wander through villages, swim in turquoise waters, and share laughter and stories beneath the stars.

Each day unfolds as an invitation to reconnect with yourself and the world around you — through the rhythm of Bhakti, the spirit of adventure, and the beauty of Croatia’s soul.

This is more than a retreat.
It’s a return — to love, to wonder, to you.

This is our planned itinerary, but as with all great adventures, a little flexibility keeps the magic alive. Small adjustments may be made along the way to honour the group’s flow, weather and local experiences.

*All meals are vegetarian, with vegan options available, lovingly prepared onsite using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

**Guests can also book on-site massages at both locations for an additional fee, adding an extra layer of relaxation to your retreat experience.

  • Our journey begins in Zagreb, where we’ll gather for a welcome lunch at local vegetarian restaurant before exploring the charm of the city’s historic center. From there, we’ll travel together into the Croatian countryside — to our serene home at Ekodrom Estate, surrounded by lush forests. After settling in and touring the grounds, we’ll come together for our opening circle, a shared dinner, and a soothing sound bath to ground into the energy of the retreat.

  • Ease into retreat rhythm with our morning Bhakti program — Japa meditation, chanting, and philosophy (with a gentle introduction for those new to the practice). After breakfast, we’ll flow through a rejuvenating yoga asana class before enjoying a nourishing lunch. The afternoon is yours to relax and unwind — soak in the outdoor hot tub, refresh in the cold plunge, rest in the hammocks, or melt into the sauna. We’ll gather again in the evening for dinner and a restorative sound bath under the stars.

  • Start the day with our morning Bhakti program — Japa meditation, chanting, and philosophy — followed by breakfast, gentle yoga to prep for our hike and some leisure time to relax. After lunch, we’ll set off to the UNESCO World Heritage site, Plitvice Lakes National Park, a breathtaking destination travelers from around the globe come to see. Enjoy a gentle 4-hour hike through serene waterfalls and lush landscapes, with breaks along the way and a peaceful short boat ride. Your tickets and guide are included in the retreat price. On the way back to Ekkodrom, we’ll stop for dinner at a local restaurant (this is one of the few meals not included and will be paid individually).

  • Begin with our morning Bhakti program of Japa meditation, chanting, and philosophy, followed by a nourishing breakfast and an energizing yoga asana class. The afternoon is yours to unwind — enjoy booked massages, soak in the hot tub, refresh in the cold plunge, or relax in the sauna. After lunch, we’ll dive into a traditional Croatian vegetarian cooking class, learning local recipes and flavors to take home. The day closes with dinner together and a relaxed movie night.

  • Start the day with our morning Bhakti program — Japa meditation, chanting, and philosophy — followed by breakfast and a refreshing yoga asana class. After lunch, we’ll explore a hidden local river gem for a revitalizing swim in nature. Later, we’ll visit a temple for an evening program followed by dinner and a group bonfire under the stars.

  • Begin the day with our morning Bhakti program, followed by breakfast and packing. We’ll transfer by mini-bus from Ekodrom Estates to Zadar city center, where you’ll have about 4 hours to explore its Roman history, the famous Sea Organ, and charming streets. Bags can be conveniently checked near the ferry port, and lunch is individually paid. In the afternoon, we’ll board the ferry to the island of Veli Iz — tickets are pre-paid and included. After settling in at our island retreat, we’ll share dinner together, followed by a restorative yoga session and sound bath to ease into island life.

  • Start the day with our morning Bhakti program, followed by breakfast and a rejuvenating yoga asana session. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy the crystal-clear sea, hike through scenic olive groves, or try stand-up paddleboarding — equipment provided by Hotel Korinjak, our island home. We’ll gather in the evening for dinner and a soothing sound bath to close the day in peace and connection.

  • Begin with our morning Bhakti program and breakfast, yoga asana, then follow the day at your own pace. Swim in the sparkling sea, wander through olive groves, or simply soak up the island atmosphere. Explore local happenings or go with the natural flow of your leisure time — by this point, last year’s group was already laughing like lifelong friends and making plans together! We’ll come together for a final dinner and closing sound bath, celebrating the journey and connections made.

  • Our final morning together begins with the Bhakti program and breakfast before we gather for a heartfelt closing circleto reflect, share, and seal our retreat experience. After check-out, we’ll take the ferry back to Zadar around 1 PM (ticket included). This marks the official end of the retreat, though your adventure doesn’t have to stop here — the main bus station, with connections to all major Croatian cities, is just a 10-minute drive from Zadar’s city center. If you wish to stay and explore more of Croatia, we’re happy to offer tips and help you plan the next part of your journey.

Our adventure flows from the peaceful Croatian countryside to the sparkling Adriatic coast, with all bus and ferry transfers included in your retreat price.

We begin surrounded by nature at a family-owned eco-estate, tucked within lush forests and rolling hills. This tranquil Croatian village setting offers cozy cottages and houses accommodating between 1–5 people, each with full amenities for comfort and connection. Between sessions, unwind in hammocks, soak in the hot tub, refresh in the cold plunge, or relax in the outdoor saunas. It’s the perfect place to root down, rest, and begin your Bhakti journey.

For the second half of the retreat, we travel to a local Croatian island — part of the breathtaking archipelago often called the “Hawaii of Europe.” Here, we’ll stay at Croatia’s first fully vegetarian hotel and restaurant, a family-run sanctuary that’s been welcoming guests for over 20 years. Choose between single or shared double rooms, enjoy delicious vegetarian meals, and savor the island’s slower pace — sea swims, sunlit walks, and the magic of coastal living.

    PARAMANANDA

Paramananda has been traversing the path of yoga for over 25 years. His journey towards higher consciousness started out early in life, as a punk guitarist from the hardcore scene of New York City, where he spent his youth playing blaring rebel anthems in popular bands such as Youth of Today, Judge and Shelter. In a music scene mired in drugs, negativity and violence, Youth of Today championed a straight edge lifestyle of positive thinking, personal empowerment and freedom from drugs and alcohol. His band Shelter went even further into uncharted territory, incorporating Eastern spirituality, yoga ethics and self discovery into their music. Selling hundreds of thousands of records, the band toured constantly, bringing a message of hope to Generation X kids all over the world looking for something higher.

Paramananda found great inspiration in the Krishna Bhakti tradition and started living in ashrams, intensely studying ancient Sanskrit texts, meditation, kirtan (chanting of sacred mantras) and bhakti yoga (the yoga of devotion to God). From there he made yearly pilgrimages to India, learning to live the life of a yogi from the culture where it came from.

In a spirit of wanting to share what he had learned, Paramananda became a yoga teacher, specializing in arm balances, inversions, kirtan and storytelling from the wisdom literature of ancient India.

Monika works with energy and teaches various styles of yoga with a focus on Nada Yoga - the yoga of sound and vibration.

In 2020, Monika founded Church444, an alternative wellness community that deeply focused on yoga, the arts, and mental health. She now co-owns So’ham Studio in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, where she continues to cultivate meaningful connections and community through yoga.

Having traveled extensively, Monika has shared her teachings globally through workshops and retreats. Born in Croatia, she is excited to guide participants on a Bhakti adventure through her beautiful homeland, sharing both her love for yoga and her cultural heritage. Her dedication to merging science with spirituality inspires her teaching and aims to help people return to themselves, reconnect with their true nature, and deepen their self-awareness.

  • A few meals are excluded during the trip, and this is reflected in the price. On days when you’ll be adventuring through Croatian villages and sightseeing, we want to give you the freedom to explore the local cuisine and satisfy your curiosity. Part of the joy of traveling is trying new foods, and Croatia offers a rich culinary experience, including plenty of vegetarian and vegan options.

    • Less than 30 days before the retreat: No refund available.

We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, and we commit to being as fair and transparent as possible in making decisions regarding refunds. Feel free to reach out with any questions about this policy!

  • You will book your flight to Franjo Tuđman International Airport (ZAG) in Zagreb, Croatia. From there, you’ll make your way to Zagreb City Centre, which is easily accessible by Uber (about 20-30 euros) or a coach bus (about 8 euros). On August 24th, a bus will pick everyone up as a group from Zagreb City Centre and shuttle you to Ekodrom Estate.

Transportation from the Adriatic coast back to Zagreb is not included, as many participants often choose to extend their stay on the coast. However, we’re happy to help arrange transportation back to the airport for a small additional fee if you wish.

We will be ending the journey in Zadar County which has an airport as well as connecting coach buses back to the capitol City of Zagreb (approximately 3 hours and $28 CAD one way for bus fare).

We highly recommend arriving a day earlier to explore Zagreb and adjust to the time zone before the retreat begins. Specific details about pick-up times and locations will be shared closer to the retreat date.
